This airport feels more like a luxury retreat than a layover—and that’s before you even step foot into the lounges or the Jewel.

The Jewel is the crown jewel (pun intended) of Changi Airport. Located outside of security (so anyone can visit), it’s home to the world’s tallest indoor waterfall—the Rain Vortex—surrounded by lush gardens, skybridges, walking paths, and designer shops.

🛋️ Lounge Life: The Best (and Worst) Airport Lounges at Changi
Whether you’re on a layover or starting your adventure, Changi’s lounges take the airport experience to a whole new level. We tested out five different lounges—some blew our minds, others… not so much.
⭐️ Plaza Premium Lounge – Top-Tier, Foodie Favorite

The Plaza Premium Lounge is in a class of its own. It felt less like an airport lounge and more like a boutique hotel restaurant. Dishes are made to order—fresh, fast, and delicious.
Their chicken rice was unforgettable, but the real standout was the laksa—a spicy, coconut-based noodle soup that’s rich, comforting, and iconic in Southeast Asia. If you’ve never tried it before, this is the place to start. It was hands-down the best laksa we had in any lounge.
This lounge is peaceful, beautifully designed, and totally indulgent. It’s easily one of our top two favorites at Changi—and worth every second you spend inside.
🍛 SATS Premier Lounge – The Other Favorite

If Plaza Premium was the best made-to-order experience, SATS Premier Lounge wins for its variety and vibe. There’s no full kitchen, but the DIY laksa station was a standout—you build your own bowl, your way. We loved this personal touch, and the broth was flavorful and authentic.
The lounge also featured Indian curries, a calm Zen area, plenty of space, and most importantly—great food with unlimited drinks. It’s one of our top two picks for sure, and the kind of place you’ll want to hang out in, not just pass through.
🍲 Changi Lounge – Beautiful, but Limited

The food here was surprisingly great—we tried laksa and a shockingly good lasagna—but there’s a catch: you only get one meal and one drink per person.
The lounge itself is gorgeous and peaceful, but we were a little let down by the limitations. Also worth noting: only one alcoholic beverage is included here, compared to unlimited options in other lounges.
😕 Moraraba Lounge – Meh.

Moraraba had some perks: decent seating, lots of space, and a quiet atmosphere. But the food was basic, the vibes were a little off, and overall it just didn’t stand out.
Not bad—but compared to Changi’s other lounges? It’s the one we’d skip next time.
